Dr Pradeep Samarakoon, known to his patients as 'Pradeep' obtained his medical degree in Sri Lanka in 1997. Having worked in general surgery and primary care he then completed specialist training in paediatrics. Pradeep moved to the United Kingdom in 2008 and worked as a paediatrician for 3 years, during this time Pradeep obtained membership of Royal College of Paediatrics, UK.
Because of Pradeep’s lifelong interest in being a generalist he retrained as a GP and obtained membership of Royal College of General Practice, UK in 2014. He worked as a GP partner and as a sessional GP in the UK before moving to Australia in 2016.

In addition to his broad experience in paediatrics (children and newborn babies) Pradeep has experience in palliative medicine, emergency medicine, general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology. He enjoys spending time with his family and living an active lifestyle. Pradeep is enthusiastic in providing outstanding care and believes excellent communication is indispensable in general practice.
